Water leak behind sunglass compartment

Water leak behind sunglass compartment
When it rains, I get water leaks on my 2003 Max in the area between the sunglass compartment and the windshield. The leak is not visible but when I turn/brake/give throttle, the water drips down. It comes thru the roof upholstery. I've read where there are two small drains on either side of the sunroof may be clogged. I've checked this and I can see two small holes, about the circumference of a pencil. If these are the drains, both are clear on the outside. They could be clogged inside but I cannot tell and not sure how I would clean that. Any ideas/thought on what could be causing the leak and how to fix it? Thank you.

But the rust is between the windshield and the body which means the windshield has to come out to grind off the rust. You can also try redneck repair by just putting bead of transparent sealant between the molding and the roof which will keep the water from entering in that area. I never tried that as I was able to pin this on the windshield repair guy and he fixed it after convincing the insurance company that I needed a new windshield.

Still could be the sunroof. I don't think it seals 100% when it is closed. You could try pouring water into the sunroof tray and see if it goes down the drains. That should tell you something.

I've noticed the rubber seal at the back side of the sunroof that sits under it when its closed, sometimes isn't seated properly on the sill that it sits on. It has caused mine to leak before.
