Reverse Light bypass, or other option?

OK so I'm realizing that other drivers on the road don't care about blinding the other drivers (me) from behind with their hi beams. I just want to install a little push button to turn on or just quickly flash my reverse lights at them as some type of warning, but I don't want to do anything from keeping them from working properly either. Is that possible?

Or does anybody have any other ideas, I don't like pulling over into the dirt and rock of the back roads.

It is a pretty simple thing to do, but I doubt that it would accomplish anything. If they are ignorant enough to drive with their brights on, I doubt if they would get the hint.

I never actually did it, but in my younger years I always wanted to install a toggle switch in the brake light line that would allow me to 1) flash the brake lights at the person following me too closely without tapping the brakes, and 2) disable my brake lights in case I needed to slow down and didn't want to be obvious about it... like if maybe I was going faster than I should and saw a police car in the median.

However... recently I did learn (at my court date for the ticket I got) that tapping your brake lights to get them to back off is considered road rage behavior, so I'm sure flashing reverse lights is just as bad.

the easiest way is to install a LED flashlight type thing facing rearward on the rear deck, and rig a switch to that.

But realistically I also doubt anyone will get the hint. they'll just be like "look at this dumbazz with his backup lights on, going forward"

Lol

Regarding the road rage thing, I feel what I want to do is a happen medium between doing nothing and tossing a hammer out the window /
