5th Gen INTERIOR

Is it just me or is it the interoir that sets apart the 5th gen from the 4th gen. I personally feel the exterior is better looking as well, However, Nissan finally got it right with the interior of the 2000 and beyond. Sure it doesn't compare to some of the higher priced benz'z and beemer'z-(pops has a 98' 528i and it's still better than the 2k max) but it still kicks the cr*p out of any toyota or HONDA!
Peace Out_

wat ticks me off about the 2002 is that the interior upholdstery is beige for all the models no matter what color leahter/cloth... i have black leather and i think that it looks pretty horrible with a black dash but beige A-pillar and B-pillar.. is the 2k1 and 2k same as this??

Are you sure it's not grey instead of beige?

I have a 2K1 with black leather interior and my pillars are grey. I think the grey looks good with the black but I don't think I would like beige either.

I agree. It was the interior that really was the deciding factor for me buying the car.

And when you look into a new altima, it just makes you appreciate that interior even more!

What's wrong with the Altima interior. I have not look at one and everyone keeps complaining about the interior.

Door panels look like they belong in a 89 Hyundai Excel.

The altima interior is just really cheep looking.

I had a 4th gen, now a 5th gen, and I remember the ride home from the dealer, and I was juts in love with the new interior. Especially w/ the molded chrome dash that looks stock and the chrome gauge rings. It is very nice.

I have a base 2k1, and the worst thing is where the nice, waterfall-like seamless nature of the center console is marred severly by a combo of single-DIN stock stereo and massive ugly CUBBYHOLE in the friggin dash!!! It makes for an easy swap of an aftermarket stereo (which was my intention in the first place) but I sometimes look at the console and long for the smooth face of teh stock Bose stereo!
