Sensen struts input

I'm thinking replacing my struts, come accrosed with this brand, curious about your guys opinion also saw good review online at different forum, at $160 shipped and lifetime warranty, it's a steal. If any you guys have any experience with this brand, on how long this last ( keeping the car for 3 yrs ) or other brand that you guys recommend ... Thank you

They're good struts. Comparable to KYB's.

However only use them with stock springs, they are not designed to accomadate drop springs.

Plus they have lifetime warranty.

I have sensens on H&R front Htech rear springs. A lot better than half-blown 120k mile factory SE struts but other than that I don't have much to compare to.

After 10k miles I have no complaints. Definitely great bang for buck.

You can probably get away with reusing your dust boots but it would be ideal to get new ones. You're only keeping it for 3 years, and its a bad way to think about this way, but it won't affect you when/if it becomes a problem.

The ride is like an SE. They are similar to KYB yet they probably won't wow you. There is better/firmer/softer out there but these aren't Junk.

Do yourself a big favor and get some moog tophats for less than $30 each. Even if your current ones aren't bad, they are known to go bad, and you may as well change them when it's all apart.

I bought new bump stops and dust boots from NAPA (I think). They were Monroe and were pretty cheap. The ride was way better than the shot stock struts.

I put about 20k miles on a set before they got too noisy for my taste. They would rattle pretty badly over any kind of remotely sharp bumps. Most likely the internal bumpstops were wearing out and causing a metal to metal contact. Performance wise they were great with my Tein H-Techs. Nice and stiff compared to stock. I felt they complimented each other perfectly.

I decided to give Stagg struts a try this time and I absolutely HATE them. Way too soft after using Sensens. I've already picked up Tokico fronts and will be changing them out when I get the backs in.

The rattling is usually due to bad strut mounts.

Sen Sen's ftw if you're staying stock height.

Usually. Struts mounts were new when the Sensens were installed and were reused with the Staggs with no rattle.
