What gauge should i use to know when i need to top up oil?

There's many threads about the ****ty dip stick that came with these cars. Which gauge should i get to know when my oil is getting low? oil pressure gauge?

If so, where do i mount the sensor?

About the only way I know of is to use the dipstick. An oil pressure gauge won't tell you until you are out of oil and the engine is about to self destruct in 10 seconds.

You will have to work with what you have. Wait an hour (maybe more) after the engine has been turned off before you check the oil level.

The dipstick isn't that bad to read.

Oil pressure gauge shows you just that, oil pressure, not oil level.

oil pressure gauge will do nothing except dip down when the oil level is very low, enough to cause damage. only way is the dipstick

Dipstick works just fine. Take a look at it after the car has been sitting overnight.

Seriously? There isn't going to be a "gauge" for the oil. Not like the Bmw and mercedes that uses the electronic sensor on screen tell you if your oil is level is norm or need added, but that only works when the car is parked, leveled and engine off. But seriously? You should check oil every gas fill up or however often you want. unless got a leaky gasket.
