radio install help

Hey well i have an issue right now and need help..well i have a 2000 infiniti i30 and i had just took the stock radio out and put in a pioneer touch screen radio (avh-p1400dvd) to be exact..ok so i did the hook up it came out fine it turned on and all but the only problem was that when i put it to the highest volume thats 40 and its still sounds low..like my stock radio was louder..i just ran a amp to it and the amp works fine it turns on and all but its like not giving out no power to the speakers..if anyone can just let me know what the issue can be or any type of help it will be very good thanks..i did recheck the connections like 5 or 6 times already so yea! Thanks

Your problem is that you are replacing a Bose head unit. Bose radios do not conform to industry standards in the area of speakers. Your Pioneer unit is probably over driving the Bose speaker circuits. Check out the audio forum on Maxima.org.

To replace a Bose head unit and use the Bose speakers, there is a line level converter that you can use.
