b+ ring connector on alternator

b+ ring connector on alternator

i installed an alternator and the tangs on the ring connector wont seat down into thr plastic insulator. I want to know if it bo ok to bend them so that it will connect flush to the post terminal.thx in advance.

Yes, that's fine. They're there to keep the harness pointed in the correct direction, but they're not strictly necessary. The joys of aftermarket parts.
