CEL on code P0011
Hello everyone, I had bought a 2003 last week car has 133k miles and in good shape. Just yesterday cel light came on and turns up P0011. I'm pretty good with doing my own mechanic work and looking to try and fixing the problem myself. Does anyone have any guidance on what it could be. It does need a oil change saw on a site where said it could be dirty or low oil?
Thanks everyone in advance!!

P0011 - Intake Valve Timing Control Performance Bank 1
Possible causes
- Faulty Intake Valve Timing Control Solenoid Valve
- Intake Valve Timing Control Solenoid Valve harness is open or shorted
- Intake Valve Timing Control Solenoid Valve circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty Camshaft Position Sensor
- Camshaft Position Sensor harness is open or shorted
- Camshaft Position Sensor circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty Crankshaft Position Sensor (POS)
Since the Intake valve timing control solenoid valve uses oil flow to control timing, dirty oil can cause the valve to stuck open or close. Before replacing the valve, change engine oil and filter and reset engine code. But if dirty oil/sludge is the problem, you may have to clean the solenoid assembly.
In case you weren't sure, bank 1 is the firewall side of the engine.
