Had a mechanic replace my leaking pwr steering hose. Before replacement the only time there was a whining noise was when the fluid was low. Now it makes that sound all the time. I took it back and he said it must be the pump bad. I feel that the hose replacement caused the whining I have now. Just don't know what action to take. He said the bled the system correctly. Would leaning the reservoir screen help? Noise very irritating to me but wife drives car most of the time. Its been about two months since the hose was replaced. Thanks

 

He replaced the hose with an aftermarket hose. It's a known issue. Only a Nissan branded hose will fix the issue.
