super custom Retro projector build, 5.5 style!

Soooo i've wanted this done for quite some time, and finally its done! I have not seen many projectors done on the 5.5 maxima, mainly because most say that its ugly, but i care more about the function of the projectors than the look but here it goes. Projectors:Lexus Rx/Asf with tsx clear lens, GTI-R shroud with leds custom drilled and fitted in, Led ring installed in high beams (painted purple) and wired to park lights. Demon eye led mod done purple as well behind clear lens.

i will let the photos do the talking, enjoy!

Led ring done on thanksgiving because we were bored lol

This shot was taken when the passenger side was aimed too high and has been corrected as you can see in the above pics.

Good work on originality, and looks like you did a great job with setup, output is great!

As for aesthetics, I think it looks terrible and ricey, but that's just my opinion lol.

Saw in the other thread... Now that I see all the work that was done.... Major props!

Are those Altima SER rims... off set doesn't look right. Although if they are from an Altima they probably have a high offset... need to space them out

Looks good! I'm curious about the cutoff, in some of the photos it looked a little diffused. I'm not sure if it's the camera shot or is it little diffused?

Definitely digging this. Very different!!! Definitely matches your theme under the hood lol.
I found as well that there was A LOT to cut out of the low beam spot to get the tsx projectors to fit inside. It was a big pain to figure out how to get it to stay as well other than making a custom fabricated bracket ialso epoxy'd it in, also the fact that in order to fit it in i had to cut off most of the tabs on the sides. Took me a good 6hours the first time to get it aimed properly as well. Then I put in an easy mori mini in the highbeam spot and had to readjust it because it was WAY off.

Oh BTW custom sheilds all the way for the tsx's!!! Congrats on the retro club!

Its hard to find a set and ppl want too much for them. Tried couple junk yards but lights usually the first thing to go.

Thanks dude! My boy had to cut a **** load, we used quick steel to secure it. I have the Lexus rx projectors and using the tsx clear lens. These projectors have the flat shield, they offered the custom curved shield but I was impatient lol so I just stuck with this, I'm happy with the setup overall.

Good work on the retro. You should really use the curve shield and tune the cut off for 70-100' sharp. With curve shield you can maximize the bowl geometry for wide beam pattern. You should also drop it about .020" to allow more lights along the hot spot ( more long distance light).

Properly tuned RX projectors with E30 OEM lens produces one of the best low beam out there for cheaper price than S2000 projector. With these mod you will see crazy color flicker like no others.

Man...I miss retrofitting....

I had the curved shield option but the company took almost two weeks to ship, so I cancelled it. Wish I waited. I highly doubt my friend wants to remove these projectors as they were a total ***** to fit. Not to mention we have no idea how to tune the curved shield "/. Is it that rreally big of a difference?
