2000 Max.
Keep getting a code for MAP sensor faugh. Put a new map sensor and cleared it twice same issue. Its hard to start and when it does start it blows grey smoke smells like gas strong. After running everything's good.

What's it sound like?


Also, 4 months ago i replaced all 3 o2 sensors and its throwing codes for all 3 sensors still, what could be up with that. i understand the 3rd o2 code cause im straight pipe but bank 1 sensor 1 and bank 2 sensor 1 should be good.

 

I have two spare MAP sensors and one is off a buddy's maxima and same issue.

 

There are different sensors.
you need to make sure it is the correct one that goes to your car.

I know this because I bought some that where to for my 2000 maxima but did
plug in. It had 5 pit instead of 4.

 

I gotta look at it then, the one from autozone is for my year model. will the map sensor cause starting issues?
