clunking noise

clunking noise

hey guys I just bought a 03 max and noticed when I hit a bump on the pass side I hear a clunk feels like its hitting the body.i replaced the sway bar link and it still does it any ideals

Check ur motor mounts. In particular the pass side mount. I had the same prob on my 02. Prob solved.

bounce the car there up and down by hand, might be the strut making noise

My "clunk" was the exhaust pipe hitting the rear axle where the exhaust pipe loops over the axle. The after market tail exhaust pipe wasn't exactly like the OEM. A little bending of the muffler mount points solved the problem

I have also noticed it does it easier when the motor gets up to temp
