Ignition coil
Ignition coil
Replacement of spark plug 1,3,5 needs the removal of intake manifold. Its a tedious work and needs a lot of patience. I believe you are better off to use oem ignition coil for those spark plug (rear )
Since sparkplug 2,4,6 is accessible (front) you can gamble with the aftermarket ignition coil.

Werd. Also look at Partsgeek and coupon codes for there as well. They both have good pricing.
For Japanese cars, I'd stick with OEM ignition parts. Is $500 the stealership price? Rock Auto has the OE Hitachi's for about $60/each. You can also find a 5% off coupon code online.[/QUOTE
Well I ordered a cheap set off of ebay, araparts. Probably not best idea but I'll give them a try and report back here. Misfiring is getting worse so maybe it can be temporary fix through rest of winter. Tried different spark plugs but that didn't fix the misfire. Car has 194,000 on it and has original coils far as I know.

Stumbled upon this thread today. Just wanted to let you know if you have any problems, always feel free to get in touch with us. These coils have a warranty, and any issues, let us know, give us a call, or shoot me an e-mail and we will get you taken care of!
As far as quality, I wouldn't compare our coils (or any aftermarket coil) to the originals, but they are great aftermarket replacements with copper windings. Similar to the aftermarkets you'd find at the local aftermarket auto store, but for 4x less. We have a strong pricing advantage because we buy a few thousand of each coil at a time.
Also, make sure to check the main ground (from the negative terminal on the battery to the transmission) before putting these on.
Did you really mean "shoot me AND e-mail"?
Yeap the price is insane in Cali, they wanted $147.00 for 1, and the ones in Texas are about 85-90bucks a piece. I ordered 3 New Hitachis today from buyautoparts.com, has a code for believe 15% off just enter PERFORM. Had did the rear 3 previously about a year and a half ago, and now the front one had a misfire in cyclinder 2, so replacing the rest of them...
