Intake manifold support bracket removal
Intake manifold support bracket removal
I'm installing NWP intake manifold spacer, and it's time to put the manifold back on, but I'm having problems reaching the two bolts holding the bracket which must be removed before I can put everything back together...I can't see them so this makes it extra hard to remove them
Any advice on how to get these off?

Position yourself on the driver side fender to reach out. Use a flashlight and a mirror to accustom your sight to the location of two 12mm bolts. The recommended tool is a socket wrench with a long extension.
Just an advised.
Never move the butterfly of the ELECTRONIC throttle body.
Do not spray a cleaner directly to the throttle body leave it alone.
I recommend to use the oem intake gasket first and place the nwp spacer on the top of it without the gasket sealant. Apply the gasket sealant between the nwp spacer and the intake manifold. Same with the rest so in the future its easy to detach it (area between the oem gasket and NWP without the sealant).
The nwp spacer will elevate the top of intake manifold might hit the front strut bar.
Just an advised.

You said you want to put the manifold back on but you also say you want to remove the back bolts? If the manifold is off then you already removed the bolts. Unless you want to put the bolts back on and they dont lineup because of the spacers bringing the manifold higher?
Yes I have already taken the manifold off, I'm referring to the bolts that hold the bracket on the engine block...according to the instructions, it must be completely removed

Thanks, I'm going to give this a try right now!
