Exhaust help

So I have a 2001 maxima and I recently started doing my exhaust. I've done my warpspeed ypipe and I don't think this was a bright idea, but I put in a 3" 240sx test pipe. Now I'm looking for a catback system. Several questions, should I get rid of that 3" test pipe? And what kind of catback system is good at a low price? And also, should my test pipe be the same piping size as the y pipe?
Thank you guys

You will be ok with having the bigger test pipe in there. That test pipe is basically just a glass pack in a way. As far as a cat back system goes. I dunno. I work at a custom exhaust shop.. So we don't buy kits. We make them.

You could keep the test pipe, if you plan to modify the car besides the exhaust - there is no reason to go for 3'' all the way, maybe just for the sound.
There are few kits over on ebay, best rated one is Megan RS from the readily available ones. The best rated one is Cattman, but it's made with special order and in small quantities. You could find used one though... They are expensive new and just a little cheaper used.

My S13/14 test pipe (3") was not a glass pack, just for clarification, though not sure what brand the OP had.

OP, just get a cheap eBay catback.

I have the Isis, and wouldn't the ebay one be sounding like crap?

That one is not a glass pack, even though it looks like one.

3" test pipes sound better than 2.5" test pipes eve if they're not resonated.

Packed with love.

And by love, I mean it's a non-resonated test pipe. It's just a pipe with flanges.

It's packed with nothing. (Center item). I'd imagine it's in order to make it look like a pseudo cat convertor.

Just looks that way.
