electrical issue, or nothing to worry about

OK so tonight I noticed something strange.
When inside the car and all power and are lights off, I step on the brake pedal and the dashlights for the hvac and the shifter cone on very dimly. Anyone else experience this or know what can cause it?

Don't listen to george__, likely a bad ground like previously stated. Otherwise it would likely be limited to your battery or alternator.
If you go to autozone they can check it for you

Not sure if it make a difference but tonite i noticed it does it while the car is running too. For some reason (as silly as it sounds) I think it might have something to do with the LED bulbs I have in my tail lights. Tomorrow Im going to take em out and see if it helps. Thats the only thing Ive changed lately.

check your grounds, as you said its probably in the taillights. when i had my Hardbody, somebody had a rats nest of trailer wiring in the back. whenever i hit the brakes, all of my dash lights and parking lights would come on full strength. let go of the brakes, they all went out. it just never bugged me enough to fix it but i know it was a wiring problem

try changing out the taillights and see what happens
