Clutch?

2000 maxima 5 spd, 200K miles. When I'm starting in first, no problem getting through the friction point, but once clutch is engaged and I begin to accelerate, the forward motion of the car gets "bouncy", like trying to drive to fast in reverse, or like trying to drive 15 mph down hill in 1st, when instead you should shift into the next gear. This phenomenon is barely noticeable in 2nd, and non-existant in 3rd. Only remedy is to barely drive in 1st before shifting into 2nd. After 2nd, car seems pretty normal. What do you think - broken clutch? Suspension? I doubt engine mount, because no issues accelerating during higher speeds.
