Strange random rubbing sound???

I'm hearing a strange rubbing sound. I think it's coming out the back, but not 100% sure. Mechanic hasn't been able to figure it out. So far I've replaced the lateral link and front passenger wheel hub. Hasn't fixed the issue. I've tried driving in manual and the sound is still there, so I don't think it has anything to do with the engine or the tranny, but that's just a guess. Anybody experience this?

Mine had a similar problem. It started just when I was turning but progressed to happen even traveling straight. Check the thin plate metal heat shield near the bearing/brakes. Mine was bent and scraping against the rotating parts. I'm not sure what causes it but it tends to come back.

Ive got blown struts at the moment and they have been making an awful rubbing sound that started out only occurring in turns but now happens in straight lines also.
