02 sensor extended

Has anyone else had issues when cutting and extending the 02 sensor when installing headers? I guess I was suppose to extend the harness and not the 02 sensor but I'm now throwing 3 codes, p1148, p0134, p 1564, I guess the 02 sensor wasn't meant to b extended lol I ordered a new 1 but is there a harness I can buy to extend or do I have to separate the wiring of the harness and run it along the firewall?

I'm not an expert but we had to extend my primaries. You have to cut and extend one wire at a time because you don't want to mix them up. Each wire sends something different so you don't want to cross them up. We snipped one wire, attached the wire and connected it. then snipped another, etc. So I can say yes for sure it can be done. We extended it from the harness. I THINK that if you extend the sensor, one of the wires send a certain signal that if tricky if you mess it up so maybe you did something wrong there. Extending the o2 from what I've heard isn't recommended because if the o2 goes out you have to extend all over again.

The o2 wires shouldn't be cut as it can cause issues... Low voltage or high voltage is what I had when I did it before.

I replaced it and spliced from before the harness and no issue since with primaries.

Your P0134 could be causing the first code but not sure about the P1564 code... Hopefully a new o2 without a spliced wire would fix all 3 codes.

I and MANY others have just cut into the harness, pulled out wire, and reseated the harness. Gain several inches, no cutting/splicing, and still looks stock.

I argued in a past thread this can happen when cutting splicing. But, some dont like hearing such things. I'm sorry you're going to have to replace the sensor.

Either pull what you need from the harness (free) or, as mentioned, contact Surra.

Goto a local pick and pull and extend it yourself.

9/10 times in my local pnps the blue o2s are left dangling or ripped out with the plug intact.

I had found a modded 5.5 and stole one of his ghettofied o2 extensions and surprisingly all butt connected up... It works 0.o

The one i made was way cleaner. Something like you would purchase from surratt... I think its visible on my blog.

Yea I guess I messed up when I cut the 02 sensor even though I did 1 at a time, I did see a how to cut in the harness and gain a few inches without cutting and splicing I guess I will have to try that next, and the other code was for my cruise control I installed a sparco wheel with nrg hub and forgot to install the fuse that came with it.
