Cooling system help
I'm in the process of replacing a few things to combat my overheating issue.
I have a Nissan brand thermostat on the way. I'm also contemplating replacing the coolant temp sensor and sender. Are there two separate ones or are they combined? Also, where are they?
Is there a write up on replacing the water pump?

There are 2 temperature sending units in the 2000 & 2001 cars with the 3.0 engine.
There is 1 temperature sender unit in the 2002 & 2003 cars with the 3.5 engine.
On both engines, follow the upper radiator hose back to where it connects onto the engine. Go another maybe 2 inches or so and you will encounter either 1 or 2 sensors screwed into the pipe.
If you have the 3.0 engine, the 1st sensor with 1 wire on it is for the temperature gauge in the instrument cluster. The car does not need this to run, it is strictly for the gauge. The 2nd sensor has 2 wires on it and is called the ECTS (Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor) and is used be the ECU. This is an important sensor.
The thermostat isn't really that hard. It is in kinda tight quarters, but otherwise not a big deal. There are at least several how-tos for this, search if you are really interested.

Ah, I figured that was one of them/or both on my 03.
Any writups on replacing the waterpump?
