Ive done some hunting on here for a clear brake light for the spoiler on my 2001. Ive found a few threads with dead end links of where to get them. I have clear tail lights and the red was killing me. I plastidipped the sidemarkers white as well as the 3rd brake light. They look great! But not as clean as Id like. So that being said im getting clear markers and attempting to find someone selling a clear brake light or someone who knows where to get one. If I have no luck I guess ill have to try a generic aftermarket one

brake light has to be red, otherwise op might think your backing up. pretty sure that's mandatory in all 50 states.

Clear third brake lights usually use red LEDs

You would likely have to mod a clear lens LED brake light...and not all red LEDs are actually a red color when they're off...

Thats what I meant by getting an ebay one. Ill get one thats a tad longer and cut it because 5th gens (or at least my 01) have spoiler lights that are ~15.75 inches if I remember correctly.. finding a clear aftermarket one thats the same size has not been findable for a decent price.

Obviously, id rather buy something thats plug and play, hence the post.. but the only supplier that I could find no longer has them available.

I know the leds arent always red when theyre off! If that was the case I wouldnt want one! I just received my clear side markers and now the last finishing touch is the 3rd brake light!
