Buying a short stack/CAI, or getting a K&N Panel Filter and Modifying stock box??

Ahh, the question I'm faced with - Do i get a short ram or CAI, or should I get the K&N drop panel filter and modify the tiny air scoop to grab more air, via the grill area?? Which do you think will yield more HP gains?? Get cooler air to the engine?? Anyone done either? TIA...

CAI will probably give you most gains. But for a quick homemade intake, do a search on OSCAI and check the sticky threads.
