Where is the evaporation expansion valve on the 2000 maxima?

 

It is inside the car, under the dash, behind the glove box, inside the air duct with the evaporator core.

Here are 2 videos about it. These videos are for the 4th gen, but the 5th gen is almost identical.

The first video shows you the expansion valve. The second video shows you how to take it out of the car.
