I currently own a 2000 Maxima gxe automatic. Many people told me that manufactures dont make parts for the gxe model max. And i have also heard that "hookin' up" the maxima does not give it much difference in performance.

So... im askin you guys. Will i find parts for my car? Does my max have potentials to be a SPEED RACER?

All maximas are the same I believe. I know the chassis, trans, engine and electrical all are. What fits one, will fit them all.

 

Any car has the potential to go fast. It's all a matter of money and desire and how you personally define fast I guess. What's a SPEED RACER? Does that refer to a specific type of car? If all you want to do is race around at breakneck high speeds then you probably shouldn't have purchased a maxima. My only advice to you at this time would be to do your research. You can do a lot with your maxima and a lot of people/companies are out there waiting for you to drop down the cash so that they can help you out in achieving SPEED RACER status.

There are plenty of parts to your car. I have done tons of research on my 2000 GLE automatic, and I will never run out of things to do to my car.

If you want your car to go really fast, I suggest you start with a high flow intake and then a y-pipe (best bang for your buck).

One problem you will run into is that your car cuts out at 130 (unless you lucked out). For this you need an ECU upgrade. Jet makes a piggy back and haltech makes a new ECU.

My car has the stillen intake and I'm getting a y-pipe and jet chip as soon as I have some money. These 3 mods will leave your car with about 265 horse power. FAST ENOUGH?!!! Good luck.

i have a 2000 GXE and i have some mods done just check out my webpage

 

to my knowledge there are no products that are any different for gxe, se, gle. everything is the same about those cars except for a few suspension differences from the gxe/gle compared to the se.

now a supercharger from stillen is supposed to be only for a manual transmission (that is the only "model" specific type of mod, but people are still running them on autos)
