Strange B pipe gasket isssue
I purchased a dynomax resonator and muffler for my 2001 Maxima. I used the following diagram: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/more...600&cc=1374533
Everything lined up perfectly except the gasket that goes between the B pipe and resonator (part 31374 in the diagram). Any ideas? My mechanic retrofitted a temporary gasket but I'd like to use the correct part because its leaking a bit.

IIRC the OEM gasket is not just a flat gasket. It's that shape, but also has an integrated thick circular ring where the tubes connected as they're beveled on the inside, not just flat.

That is called a crush gasket it is used in between the OEM axleback and B pipe if you have a aftermarket exhaust part there you need a regular 2 hole gasket
