Plasti Dip Colors

I want to dip my car which is smoke gray, but I am in between Flex Blue and Matt Black.
I don't know if I should apply a base color first or just spray over it with the flex blue.
Anyone have some advice.

Look at dipyourcar.com and their videos on YouTube. They know way more about dipping a car than anyone on this site. Follow what they say because a dipped car can look great or horrible depending on how it's done.

You need base coat if you want a good job. Its gotta be thick enough to hold on. If its a thin layer than it will tear apart pretty quick and won't peel as easy. I did few sets of wheels plus car emblems mine and other cars. The front grill was done 2 years ago and still looks good. You also gotta lick the car clean so that it sticks, no grease spots.
