Some kid in my neighborhood just plasti dipped his audi a4 from black to white. Got to see it up close, not my cup of tea.

I think it looks pretty good from far, u know how the saying goes "she looked good from far, but far from good"

Anyway thats IMO. and you can also see every little nick and scratch this dude has on his car since the plasti dip and the black original color is showing thru.

what is the point of this thread? you didn't even ask a question?

Don't do it, your color is nice, leave it. less headaches and eye sores.

I read a lot about Plasti Dip, but like D.Stillwell said it, you will definitely gonna get some nick, or road rash. The upside of plasti-dip, you can peel it off in case you don't like it but definitely a headache trying to peel every inch off.

My recommend don't do it. I'd say lowering your ride is the first step, imo.

To both of you. You just have to spray enough on, so you don't peel it with your fingernails. Thick-enough coats and it will come off in large sections. The kid above did not spray enough coats, by the sound of it. If he canned it....then it's a whole nother story lol

This. Please don't try to rattle-can your whole car. And the thicker the better (in terms of endurance AND ease of (purposeful) removal.

FYI. The Plasti-dip videos show how EASY it is to peel because they are fresh. Harmful UV will dry it up over time and crack which you will have a very hard time to remove.

Plasti-dip is all the rage in the corvette world. I personally don't like it, but damn near every one of my friends do their rear facia's, their rims, grand sport stripes, everything. It doesn't seem to hold up long.

I've taken the dip off my wheels after over a year on (all season) and it was as easy as day 1.
"Crack"? Do you have any evidence of this?

So for 1 I've dipped my brothers car about 3 times.... Every 7-8 months he wants to change it

1. It's easy to peel off if you properly coated it

2. It is easy just be patient when you do it take 2-3 hours top and work in sections I do about 6-7 coats

3. It's your car do what you want, ppl always wanna down play things I know about 12 cars that are dipped and only 1 complains but iv watch him rush his job

4. I never seen it crack at all, and ppl that have bad reviews are the ones that didn't do a good job

This is the best reply you can get right here. From people that have knowledge and actually do the work. Thanks Bronxboi
