Check engine code p0505

I've had my max since April and with it came the check engine light. My parents took it into the mechanic for other things but I forgot what the check engine light was for but today I got too curious and went to AutoZone to get it tested and came back with p0505 I searched that up on the web and came to find that it was an idle problem, however I haven't noticed any idling problems with my max, can it have anything to do with the electronic motor mounts? Thanks guys

I read through all that, though I'm still not sure what is wrong exactly but I did notice that it said the target rpm in idle is 750 ish and mine is about 1300 I would say, in drive at idle it is about 900. Is there a connection?

you can try the idle relearn on page 67 of the manual and see if that takes it back down

i don't know if there is a connection, but i know mine was idling about like yours before my iacv crapped out- i didnt know any better because the car was like that when i got it. i did have a noticeably funky idle at startup though that should have let me know something was up (which does not sound like what you are describing)

I have the same problem on my 95 Eclipse its caused from the TPS not being correct. I'm not sure if it from the butterfly rod twisting over the years or what. All i did to fix it was took out the TPS and wobbled out the bolt holes to make it adjustable and tested the resistance to bring it back down to .560 ohms. knocks the light out ever time.

Replace it immediately and do the water bypass. You're going to fry the ECU. Tons of threads on this. Unplug the motor mounts, too (lots of threads even new ones still at the top).

No stalling, just do it.
