Took a short trip to the store a few days ago and the car shut off so fast, yet restarted so quick I also thought I was going crazy for a minute. No sputtering, loss of power, etc. I really thought I was imagining things......

Got a few more minutes down the road and turned on my street and it died for good...but still had electrical. Started right back up and got me the rest of the way home.

- Alternator replaced within last two years.
- IACV cleaned out a few years ago
- New Battery last few years
- New "non-Nissan" MAF a few months ago (car would start but not keep running)...been fine until now.

Ran across the camshaft position sensor issue, but I'm not sure this is the case. There is a bunch of oil leaked out around it though. It didn't feel like a bad ground or anything...all the electrical still worked, didn't notice that cutting out. I had a Lexus that had a bad ground and it was a total kill of everything until it decided to clear.

Any ideas? Currently I don't have a CEL :-)

 

Camshaft Position Sensor issue ... even though you don't feel that this your issue, I would put my money on it. I have had this issue and the first couple of times I did not get any CEL and then I did throw the code for the bank2 part of the engine, once replaced no more engine stalling
