2003 stalled out on highway..scary!

Hi Guys I am driving down 95 and it just stalled out. Luckily I am able to coast off to the break down lane. Tried cranking and cranking and nothing. Get it towed home and ran the codes for the cel and have the famous p1800 and a p0011 for advanced timing for variable valve timing solenoid bank one. So I changed the camshaft position sensor for bank one(closest to firewall) and still no start. Next Im thinking the fuel pump went bad as I can't smell any gas at front of engine when Im cranking. Changed the fuel pump with a NAPA fuel pump and I get a Napa box and on the sticker it says made in China...well in the box it is a Bosch pump made in Brazil? This sound normal or did someone return an old pump and I got stuck with it? I reset the cel and cranked the engine about 20 times and no more cel light except for the p1800 which wont cause a no start situation. Sprayed some throttle body cleaner into throttle body and the car runs fine... Any ideas? Thanks in advance Nel

I had a similar issue a long time ago but it wasn't exactly the same. For some reason starting in neutral and drving in 3rd gear until I brought it in worked.

my brother had a similar problem with his pathfinder, and I was able to fix it by cleaning the sprockets where the cam signal get their signals. It was not hard to do on the pathfinder since everything was at the front...not sure how hard it would be on a fwd vq35.

P1800

P1800
TC P1800: VIAS CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE
:check the harness connector
:replace the vias control solenoid valve

P0011: camshaft position sensor (Bank 1)
P0021: camshaft position sensor (bank 2)

Solution: clean the camshaft sensor or replace both camshaft sensor with OEM Genuine Nissan parts or OEM aftermarket parts at rockauto.com. Aftermarket sensor in autozone pepboys will erase the code but the problem persist.

Replace the crankshaft position sensor with OEM Genuine Nissan parts.

Napa fuel pump will not work, beside I have no idea why you replace the fuel pump. Your vehicle did not present a code for fuel pump.

I'm having a similar issue. Codes say the camshaft and crankshaft position sensor are bad. I looked up the crankshaft position sensor and there are 2 different ones an angled one and straight one. Which one do I choose?

Check which codes ur car is throwing and replace accordingly. Not that hard

I was asking about the crankshaft position sensor. The part store has 2 different ones. One is angled n one is straight and I was trying to see which one I need
