2000-2001 grill is integral of the bumper so if you buy from dealer you would get the whole thing. 5.5 Gen max has a different grill but it's separate from the bumper and will fit with some work. Getting any grill from the junkyard you can separate it and not have to buy the whole thing whether it's 5th to 5.5 gen. When you say terrible do you mean broken or could use a nice coat of paint? If it just needs paint I'd go that route.

 

what do you mean AE Grille? the Grille is the same as Non AE, only difference is the the lower lip spoiler of the front bumper is AE, that's it.
