Air intake problems codes, rough idle Pls HELP

I installed an air intake that I bought off craigslist.

installed it but won't idle right. it would sound like it has trouble idling and sometimes would turn itself off. it would start shaking and it just won't accelerate perfect, it will in certain times and sometimes it won't unless I press on the gas pedal hard.

These are the new codes I got.
P0171
P0174
P0372 I believe

I'm starting to do research seems like a bad MAF sensor. the one it has on the air intake has a broken hinge maybe they damaged it while taking it off. Can anyone help please. I need the car for work and tomorrow is the last day I can work on it.

Here's the link of the part, it still posted

Code 0372 is not a valid code.

P0171 is for bank 1 of the engine, P0174 is for bank 2 of the engine. The codes say the fuel injection system is too lean.

One of the causes could be the MAF sensor. Seeing as to how you just put a used one on the car, you probably got a bad MAF. Try the one that you took off of the car.

Is your MAF sensor backwards?

maf sensor backward

]First of all if you need the car tomorrow reinstall the OEM setup. The cheapest way is to convert your OEM Box to Ghetto Airbox (the same princicple). Drill 4 holes (1 inch diameter) on top of air filter holder, use K&N filter. The air intake that you bought is a wrong set up, the MAF sensor holder was place too near to the filter. Give yourself a favor, and return it. You can buy JWT pop at ebay brand new from nissan dealership.

Hmm I'm not sure it's backwards, I'm going to swap it out and see if it works with the previous one. Would it damage it? And what can I do to fix this air intake? I guess I am going to end up putting it's oem air filter back. So drill holes so it can get some more air?

One of the few issues I see...

The damn MAF is backwards.

Once you fix that, then come back and I'll tell you what else is wrong with that setup.

Guys you are frigging awesome! It was backwords. Now it turns on normal. Took a ride around the block. No more trying to turn itself off. No more having to press on the gas pedal hard enough. Well I'm going to test it out more later today to confirm. When I brake something doesn't feel right , the brake pedal doesn't go all the way down just as soon as u start pressing it will brake. I still have to the relearn procedure. Hopefully this won't mess up my gas mileage.

Whats so good about this filter? Can you tell if my filter is somewhat brand name or a good one? I'm a noobie ! I'm learning most of the stuff through here. What would happen if I get the one from the link? Is it always a 3.5 filter size?? I'd love to know about this stuff!

air intake

This is another link for a short ram intake.

Its hard to tell based on the pictures. JWT pop charger and stillen used an oiled filter, some brand only used the dry one.
But I have noticed on the picture that the maf sensor holder was placed too close to the filter, there should be at least 3-4 inch length of tube between the maf and the filter.
