more power?

I have a 2000 gle. I want more power on the car. I was around 300 hp. Stock I have around 220...ish. without spending 1000s I want to bump up to around 300. I heard chips are good but I don't know if I can trust them to deliver real and true power if any. Can yall help me out. What would you recommend?

Without spending thousands, you won't touch 300hp.

Chips=snake oil. Stay away.

You do realize that your max is 220hp at the crank? and not actual power at the wheels....big difference.

Auto or 5spd?

Search around. Tons of info on this board.
