I just got a used nissan maxima se 6 speed with 95k miles on it. I am wondering what are the most common problems were with this car. The few problems my car has is that the e brake seems like it may be a little loose... I cant figure out if my mirror controller is broken or what, maybe i just don't know how to use it. I also have noticed that the radio randomly turns off, then back on. Not really sure where to start.. I am also interested in what preventative measure i could take to prolong the life of my car, im on a decently tight budget. I bought some seafoam as instructed by a family member to "clean" my engine by using in the gas. Is this a good idea? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Go thru the TSB list and make sure those are all applied as needed. Then worry about the Seafoam.
