radio buttons are loose!

How would I go about fixing my 2 and 5 preset buttons? I mean they don't fall off or anything but they bulge out and prevent me from my jams! its been pissin me off for 7 months now... so any advice is great!

Simply put: It sounds like the plastic tabs that keep your radio buttons in place have snapped off. The only way you are going to fix it is by snagging good buttons from a donor radio and swapping them for your broken bittons.

I don't think so, the button needs to move. What I did in my sister's 4th gen was use a glue that's flexible/squishy when dry. I used the smallest tiniest drop at the top of the button so that the glue was a hinge so to speak and the button could still move and function like it should. 3 months later, it's still working just fine.

Now if you don't ever use those buttons, I suppose you could crazy glue them, but I still wouldn't do this.

If you have a local jy, I'd go that route first though and get new buttons.

shewt!! when I custom painted my entire clock plastic, center vents, stereo faceplate, climate control faceplate and shifter cover... I painted an extra Bose HU faceplate & matching Climate control. Wish I could separate from the 2 & 5 buttons, but that would defeat the purpose of having an extra set :-/ hmmm

if you find a head unit, you may as well get the sad OEM soft paint off and at least hit it with some rattle can primer and paint
