Single or Double tips?

I have a 5th generation Max and have the option of single or double tips. Which one would be better for hp gain. They both look good but I'm undecided. The pics below are just examples of what I saw online.

Well, this has been covered many a time around here...just look around

Here's a quick lowdown:

- HP Gain = not gonna be much gain, unless you have a bunch of other mods that can benefit from a freer flowing exhaust.

- I believe SRS + Megan have same size 2.5" piping and both are 304 stainless so the difference will be the sound and looks, and build quality.

- I choose Megan over SRS, the price is right and the quality is there, and I think it sounds better than SRS (may be biased)

- SRS also has a dual tip setup just like the megan, look around.

I think what you really should do now is go to Youtube and look at exhaust videos, decide which sound you like better and what look you're going for with the single vs. double tip. To me the single tip is more rice cannon style, the dual tip OEM look is SEX.

Let me start you off with your first video: MEGAN EXHAUST

You're welcome

As he said. Gains aren't crazy, but I favor the double tip look. IMO it looks a lot cleaner on our cars, and doesn't look like a big fart cannon.

You might want to consider having your muffler re-hung so it is out a bit further and they can lower it so you stop melting your rear bumper.

Like the other guys I also perfer duo tips,

Dual for sure- single looks goofy, here is a sound clip of my bi-tipped SRS catback(with headers)

I'll go twin tips and if it's an Oval 00-01 type shroud tip cover remove it and install 2 3" Kool Vue SS tips and be in AWE! here's my twin tip sound:

That looks great. Still rocking the TE and your old sig photo, I see. And look at that rear bumper... also looks good.

Very nice, Jim.

Dual tips look so much better than single. Any time you can improve on an OEM design without changing its original intent, you win.

^^ Big ups to Ghost for a proper fitting exhaust, that looks good. Seems like everyone else has it way too high and people enjoy their bumper burning?
