Energy suspension or OEM mounts

Hello, so I'm about to replace the engine and tranny mounts and was looking for advise on these two. I want the smoothest ride since I live in colorado and the roads suck. Which for smoother ride?

Wow, I called the dealership and they want almost $700 for all 4 mounts. Looks like I'll be going somewhere else.. If anyone knows a good place to get OEM aftermarket mounts please list it. thanx

Beck/Arlney brand. OEM quality at half the price.

ES or window weld the old ones. Stock is just junk.

Mounts do not affect ride quality. They keep the chassis from vibrating slightly at idle. Big ****in deal.
If you haven't noticed the engine is silky smooth when not at idle (it is an internally balanced V6). :P
Maybe nissan says otherwise LOL. You can't feel a difference.

Ebay ones will fall apart within a year. Been there, done that. The rubber is too soft.

i replaced all 4 of them over 2 years ago and they are broken again. I can feel the shake when changing the from P to R or D, but other than that... I'm not replacing them again. The car on idle is way too smooth to believe the motor mounts are gone

If you go the ES route make sure you have access to an arbor press or a blow torch. The OEM rubber/metal mess was a PIA to get out with just hand tools.

I would only get ebay to poly fill to save some downtime.

And yeah, $700 for OEM

ES makes a DIYMMI kit to pour your own and fill it. Cheap too.

Thanks for all the comments,

my cars vibration is real ruff at idle and now when I accelerate I get some vibration. The more gas I give it the more vibration. I've had several people tell me that bad moter and tranny mounts can cause this. Correct me if that's not true.

I mean I guess it could be the new axle on the passenger side causing this too. Vibration started shortly after the axle install.

In the mean time I've completely re-done the suspension.
Both axle's, end links, tie rods, wheel bearings, ball joints, brakes, roters, new tires and only 70k on engine.

Is your car auto or manual trans? And what brand axles?

Go with the ES and you probably wont have to worry again being their polyurethane and resistant to oil and salt etc. and are a good solid bushing. Most of your ride quality is going to be in your suspension. Shocks and struts etc.

I think the reason OEM was so $$ is because they're not inserts, unlike the ES, they include the entire mount, which I'm sure you don't need. I agree, suspension is where it's at and tires/wheel size. If you're on stock 17's, go with 235 50's.

BTW, NM roads are worse than CO roads.
