5th Gen Wooshing Noise
5th Gen Wooshing Noise
What's up guys, I've done a lot of searching on my question but couldn't seem to find an answer. I have a 2001 5 speed max with about 130k on it. When i take off in first, around 2500-4500 when i put the clutch in to shift it makes a weird wooshing sound, kind of like not taking your foot off the gas in time before clutching. The only things I could think of is maybe belt noise, maybe noisy wheel bearing and i can only hear it at that speed and when i shift because of my exhaust. Or maybe it can be rpm float and i don't realize it, maybe a sticking throttle body? Just trying to narrow it down thanks.
Yea that could be it, the clutch feels like it has a good amount of life left but might as well put a new one in since ill be down there if that turns out to be it. how about the input shaft? ive only noticed it when clutching while moving, so i think that only applies to the input shaft? hopefully its just an axle because i am lowered about 2.5 inches but only for about 2 months

Yeah, I guess it would be.
