2000 Maxima Questions
Hello all,
I just picked up a new-to-me 2000 Maxima SE. Love the car, despite a few issues I'm having. I wanted to get some advice from you all.
When starting the car sometimes, it won't do much besides light up the instrument cluster, and I guess I can hear the fuel pump. Almost like the starter is bad. BUT, I noticed when I tap something under the hood, located beneath the battery, it starts! Idk if there is a loose connection in there somewhere, but I think I located the started a bit further back within the engine... Idk. What could the issue be here?
I'm getting two codes now (P0138 and P0139) both for Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 2. I read online that there was a recall or a TSB on this issue. Something about the computer needing to be re-flashed AFTER the oxygen sensors are replaced.
How can I replace the LED strip on the spoiler? They are very dim compared to many others I see on the road.
My subwoofer will not work for anything! I've searched the site, Google, etc. If I tapped it a few times, and I hear a thud or a pop. I used to be able to get it to play. But after a while, it would stop. Now, it just wont do anything. I've tried the paper method, and even tried replacing the amp directly under the sub.. What is the issue here??
I'm not much of a car wiz (if at all) so idk what to do here.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you need anymore information, please let me know.

The first two issues need more troubleshooting on your behalf start by downloading the FSM to get familiar with your Max, read up on the codes ,then following the steps on the fsm narrow down possibilities.
I believe there's a how to on the spoiler lights to convert them to led.But if you just want to swap it for a new one there's only two screws tha hold it in place.
The subwoofer can be fixed only by bypassing the relay inside the speaker or replacing the relay with a better one. I think there's a member who provides this service on here,you send it to him and some money and he fixes it and returns it something like that not really sure....
