2003 Maxima, car looks clean as a whistle. Great sounding and looks to be well maintained. Has 163,000 miles on it for $3,000. Good buy? Haven't seen much body wear or issues with it and doesn't seem to lag or have any weird sounds from the engine. I can post pics and more info to help. Just don't know what exactly to look for on these cars. I'm new to the maxima family and want one from this year so badly.

Welcome! I'm not the best for pricing but I'm sure someone else can answer that. 163K miles on a Maxima is okay, they run well into the 200's I believe. There is a mileage thread floating around somewhere if you're curious to see what other people have...

Is it a GXE, SE, or GLE?

That's circa 262,323 km and circa $3370.26 CAD

No thanks.

Maxima Price

I bought my 2002 Maxima SE with $104,000 miles for $3500.00 but I spend almost $6,000 for maintenance and modifications. Since your car is with 163,000 miles hoping the previous owner maintained it well, if not its time to inspect or replace the sparkplugs, struts, brake pads, brake rotor, transmission fluid, radiator support (heavily rusted?), oil cooler line (rusted?), oil cooler leak, lower oil and upper oil pan leak, flexible pipe and the precats (deterioration). Go to autozone and hook up your vehicle to OBDII Scan tool to check for impending error code.
Good Luck

When looking for my second maxima, I only found one that did not have a significant amount of rust on the radiator support. I bought that one and even overpaid for it since I knew it would be a while before I found another one.

Check the lower radiator support!

Radiator and support was just replaced. Alternator was replaced. 2 sensors. All rotors and breaks were just done. Tires have plenty ofbtread on them. He used to take it to Nissan shows here in MD. Has used nothing but premium gas. Exhaaut is all custom. The lower oil pan leak he said he just did a gasket there. Has a new battery that's 2 months old. Trying to think if I'm missing anything else...

Fuel filter. Check the precat : one near the radiator , one near the firewall . Ask him if he replaced it, if not you need to replace it or cheaper way is to gut it and install non-fouler to the two secondary senssor to preserve your engine.
