Rebates on 2K2 Maxima ?

I have heard about rebates on the 2002 Maximas. Is this true ? What are the details?

I purchased a 2002 SE 6sp last weekend. Got $1,000 rebate or 3.9% financing. Took the rebate.

Were you offered the 3.9% financing on 60 months, or a shorter term?

Never mind...I just got a call from my dealer, saying that my car was in port and would be here in 7-8 days, and he confirmed for me that the financing was 3.9% for 60 months or $1000 rebate.

Now I've got to go see what my credit union is offering, and whether the difference in finance rates will add up to $1000 or more over the life of the loan, or whether I should take the cash and go with my own loan.

Take the finance rate. You will save more. I just ordered 2002 SE 6spd loaded with everything including Navigation and HLSD on Saturday and saved about $700 in interest from the finance rate alone. I also put 10K down.

Black on Black SE 6 speed with HLSD, all options except Nav.
I ordered it on October 31st, so I don't feel too bad. Some folks ordered HLSD equipped cars back in August and won't be getting their cars until February sometime.

I've decided to take the financing, it looks like I'll save around $1500 over the life of the loan, which is better to me than an extra $1000 off the top.

The GM of sales at my dealership told me that no one in the US will be getting them for about another week or two because they did not start production in Japan for the 6spd w/HLSD until mid to end December.

i know you said "im the US" but someone in Canada has already picked up their HLSD max, so production date has nothing to do with it...i dont think.

Sounds great, you may be the first one in the U.S. getting the HLSD equiped. So there is hope for the rest of us!
