strange ticking sound

I just noticed a faint ticking coming from the engine bay. I was stuck in traffic and turned my radio and air off and noticed it. It only occurs when I press the accelerator; it is not evident at idle.

that's noisy as all hell. If this were my problem wouldn't I hear it at idle?
I will look into it.

Check for oil. I think my problem is like yours. Do you hear it on the passenger side?

What do you mean "check for oil"?
It's difficult to narrow down where it's coming from. Sitting in the driver seat it sounds like it's coming from behind the radio. With the car running and the hood open I do not hear it. I guess I'm going to have to find someone to press the gas while I track it down.
