hella Horns
hella Horns
My horns are all messed up.the front on doesnt always work on full volume and the passenger side one doesnt seem to work at all. I got a set of hella horns . Any ideas how to install since it is a two pin connection and the oem are one. Do i just have to ground one pin? also they came with a relay. do i need it or can depend on the one in the car.
I live in NY I need loud horns. Dont care what they sound like as long as they wake up the idiots texting at the light. My car looks like crap so not doing it for the look.
My passenger side horn doesn't sound at all and I think I have a radiator leak on the top by the plastic which is getting on the horn behind the grill and damaging it. Got to fix that first but too damn cold!

I have Hella horns on my 2000. Had them on my 94 and 97. People hear me when I blast them.
You don't need the relay, it is included for custom work. You need to ground one of the connections on the horn. I made 2 y-splitter wires for the horns. One for the ground connection that I bolted to the chassis and the other to hook up to the nissan horn wire. I have both horns behind the grille, bolted on the hood catch brace. Scraped the hell out of my knuckles doing it.
I also took the red covers off of the horns and painted them black so they are not so obvious behind the grill.
