Hook up your vehicle to OBDII scan tool with live feed to detect specific error code and impending error code. Clean the MAF sensor.

Sounds like an IVT code, pending. That's what will do you into limp mode. And when you say limp mode, I assume, it's in fail safe mode, as in your max speed is like 3 MPH or so. Or is it limp mode as in, does not rev over 2500, but until it gets to 2500, it revs normal as in you could go about 55-60MPH down the highway with no problems, until you reach that 2500 RPM threshold?

It is limp mode. Basically I'll accelerate to 4G and it will nose dive and go into limp mode till I shut car off and restart it.

I'm not sure what "nail delete" is. When you gutted your cats, did you install an O2 simulator or something that tells the computer your cats are installed and sending the proper signal? If not, your car won't run until this is fixed. Also is it the check engine light that is flashing? If so, this is a huge problem and must be fixed ASAP. If not, you might damage the engine beyond normal repair.

The vais is the variable air induction system. A butterfly valve in the plenum more or less... no flashing engine light. The security light is next to the center digital clock. But even with out o2 Sims it should throw a code. And exhaust doesn't set ca into limp mode

I'm am having these same symptoms but with codes on my 2002, it started with a torn coupler in my intake, now I think the MAF is shot, rough idle won't go above 2500rpm (like a rev limiter)

p1614 (Nats)
p1130

was running last week but I think maf finally died, checked coils and no vacuum leaks...

The car will run fine without the secondary o2 sensors. The worst that will happen is it'll throw a code.

So how do you get the car out of limp mode. This is similar to what my car is doing. I can do 55-60 mph fine. Anything higher feels like im hitting a rev limmiter

As best I can figure out from reading the FSM, having a 2400 rpm limit is a MAF problem.
