Gear oil (help)

So I have been running valvoline gl-5 in my 2002 with a 6spd manual tran. I have just realized that's not correct I should have been using gl-4 . It's been about 3 years since I put it in. Can anyone help or have any recommendations on what to do next ? Thanks.

JFC. You already ate the synchros. Too bad, so sad.

Drain and fill with cheap GL4 (pennzoil synchromesh). Drive it for a bit, then drain and fill with the good stuff.
