Motor Mounts
Good Day,
Sorry if this has been addressed already. I need help trying to figure out how to get the right side motor mount nut off. There is not enough space for me to place the tool under and ratchet this nut off the bolt. I tried getting under the car and that failed also. I have every nut off and all the 14mm bolts out except for this one. Please help a fellow DIYer out.
I was looking for pics as well from someone who may have done this procedure already.
Thanks

Are you talking about the one under the air filter box?
Also, are you trying to take out the bolts that hold it to the car or the one long pin that holds it together?
Also also, is it a stick or auto?

Ok, I think I know the one you mean. I was thinking of the left one before. Just use a wrench on it. A 12 point box wrench with an offset (bend) will fit just fine. You can remove the washer fluid reservoir to get more movement on the wrench if you need it. A flex head ratcheting wrench makes life easier (second pic) but it's not necessary.

Many Thanks!
You guys are the Best!
Pic and all. Sorry this was my first time posting. I should have given better description. 2003 Auto and yes this pic that Derrick2k2SE posted is the bugger I was having a problem with. I used a flex head ratchet but the handle surely was not long enough never thought to get a offset with longer handle. I sprayed the nut and it just would not give.
I will purchase an offset and try that this is the original mount so it has 180,000 plus on her. I just could not see taking her to anyone else for something as simple as this. I have to remove the other mounts as well.
Thanks a ton for the help and the pic!!!

No problem. The wrench in the first pic is just a regular combination wrench with the standard offset. It is a bit longer but nothing special. If you remove the tank you can fit a cheater bar on it or link two wrenches for better leverage.
Don't take this the wrong way but make sure you're turning it the right way (toward the fender). It's easy to get it wrong on upside down fasteners.

Ok thanks for that bit of advice. No hard feelings if I am doing something wrong rather someone correct my mistake. I was turning toward the fender but that bugger is on there tight.
I will do what you stated and update with results maybe later this evening.
Thanks again for the instruction.
