She coughs & sputters at 2k rpm
Hey all, as I bring this '00 Maxima back to life, I seem to have a problem with fuel delivery. She has 200k miles and sat for about a year.
This car will cough and sputter if I push on the gas pedal too hard. It seems to happen around 2,000 RPM.
I've cleaned the throttle body, sprayed cleaner inside the IACV (couldn't unscrew the 4 screws to get inside), and replaced the MAF with a unit from Courtesy Nissan out of Texas.
When I replaced the MAF, the car drove fine for about 2 days. She would rev smoothly all the way to 6,000 RPM.
But today, while driving back to work, the car would almost die if I pushed on the gas pedal about an inch or so. If I kept pressure off the pedal and moved it less than an inch, the car would drive fine.
Any ideas? Could the computer be going bad?
Thanks for the help!
