wheel spacers on the rear

What is everyone's thought on what kind of wheel spacers to get, and by that I mean actual spacers with extended studs, or the spacers with the lugs on them? I'm looking at adding 20mm spacers to the rear axle to bring the wheels out more flush with the body.

Probably a search could have found you answers but since I'm here......I did the same thing recently....I did 25 in back though. The front could use a ten but I don't like the idea of spacers on drive wheels. In my opinion it doesn't much matter what brand as long as they are billet, hubcentric, and MUST have lugs. Anything more than 3-5mm without lugs you're asking for trouble. No problems with mine so far, and I drive like an ***hole.

Hubcentric 25mm bolt on spacers would do wonders.

I put 20mm on mine, got them off Amazon. They are hubcentric, billet, and like 60 bucks. Those with Megan springs makes my car sit just right to me.

Also depends on your current wheels. With my stockers (17x7), 25mm rear and 10mm fronts. With my Z33 Tracks, none in front, 10 in back (18x8.5, +33 all around on the wheels).

Doesn't it end up changing your steering ratio etc?

What's a steering ratio?

And if it did, not enough to change anything that I did differently when driving. It's less than an inch total in front.

I have to step in and say , in parking lots and tight turning areas, you can definately tell a benefit from 5mm spacers on the front, I will post back with 10mm.
Again definately a noticable benefit with turning in small turtle speeds, it feels like it is alot easier getting into parking spots etc.

um no, try it and get back to me, turning around parking lots with increased width on the front however minimal it is, is definately noticable.

Yes but I'm not sure if it hurts or helps your turning radius.

It reduces the turning radius.

And at this small of width increase it's not noticeable.

Physics brah lol

Just did a Google search and it seems the agreement is it doesn't change anything assuming your steering stops remain in the same place...

If you draw it out on some graph paper you'll see that it theoretically might help at regular speeds on the road with handling...but at slow (parking lot speeds) I think it's working against you.

im telling you guys, its easier to turn into parking spots, nothing else, but that.

cranking the wheel to get into that spot it feels like it can make the turn than without them, if you guys have 5mm spacers laying around try it.

i am not trying to prove anyone wrong just saying my experience.
