Altima SE-R Seats

Hey gents, does anyone know whether the Altima SE-R seats can be a straight swap into a 5.5gen, including harnesses?

They are pretty cool with the two-tone color and the SE-R stitching.

Thx in advance.

I can probably figure out the electrical connections, but I need to know what year altima they are from.

Maybe the seats have a side air bag in them. They were optional in the Maxima. They require a different control module that hides under the center console as well as additional crash sensors. If the altima seats have them, you don't have to hook them up.

The biggest thing I'd like to know is if they bolt up fairly easily

The heated seat plugs for a 2002 Maxima and a 2006 altima are the same, they will plug right up.

But the plugs for the power seats are different. The 2002 Maxima uses a 12 wire plug with 10 wires in it on the driver's side and a 6 wire plug with 6 wires in it on the passenger seat. The 2006 altima uses a completely different system with the switches and motors integrated into one module that uses a plug with 2 wires, 12 volts and ground. Just get a piece of the altima wire harness with the plug and it would be an easy mod.

Thanks Dennis,

OK wiring isn't an issue I have a friend who can figure it out for me... Jus wondering if it bolts right up to the rails on the 5.5 gen. I know it'd be a bolt on for a 6g max since they are the same platform, but if they as tough as g35 seats then I'd rather not

have fun doing it, however your seat won't match with the rear seats unless you plan on reupholstered your rear seat to match with the color, otherwise people would think you're driving a salvage car or a frankencar LOL

Not really... The headliner n radio trim are the same Grey plus the seats look way more supportive. I didn't end up getting them cause the guy wanted 450 and it was for the set and he wouldn't budge.

I realized the ride with BC coils is real nice, way less roll so I don't really need support anymore but I'd like to replace my front drivers seat so the heating works... Early spring and late fall are chilly!

BTW my current seats have a tag on the that says SRS airbag. Did 02 have airbag seats?

yes the 2002 and up has SRS side air bags, it was not available as standard on the 5gen, but optional if it was the SE 20th AE. If I remember reading my brochure when I got mine.
