Was doing an oil change and noticed this bolt on the compressor was loose. I have been getting a noise when the ac it turned on for about 6 mo tha now. I had the alternator replaced about a year ago

Could there be any connection? I tried tightening the bolt but it just looked like it was out of groove and would snap the bolt

 

The nose is unrelated. There's plenty of bolts to hold the compressor on. Sounds like the ******* just rammed it in there cross threaded.

The noise is probably bearing related.
